Hi my real name is Peredyr also known as Peredyr Arueu Dur, Steel Arms. Historically I am King of Ebrauc, living one hundred years after the great King Arthur. This is my story on how I found the Grail and how I achieved my own kingdom. My twin-brother and I were raised in the woods by our mother who did not want us to know anything about knighthood. I did not even know what a knight was. But having seen King-Arthur's knights run through the woods, I was determined to go to the Royal Court at Carlisle and become a knight just like them. As I entered King Arthur's court, I came upon the Red Knight disrespecting Queen Guinevere so I killed him. I later stayed with Gornemant de Goort, an old knight whom taught me chivalry and knighted me. I was on my way to see my mother and an old fisherman told me where his older family castle was. Pelles, the Fisher King at Grail Castle was given a sword called the Holy Grail. I did not know what the Grail was or what it was for nor did I ask. The Fisher King got hurt by a sword that killed his brother, even though he was sustained by the Grail; he would not recover until the murderer was brought to justice. I then killed the enemy, and the King recovered. I had found out then that I was the King's nephew, and when he died, I owned the kingdom. Later on, I had found out that everyone wanted this "famous" Holy Grail, and it was right before me, but I did not take the opportunity to keep it. I was the first knight to encounter the Holy Grail, though.
